Our Eco-Friendly Packaging Options Include:

100% Recycled Board

Our recycled board contains a minimum of 35% post-consumer content and 65% pre-consumer content. Packaging products using recycled board is a great way to meet customers’ rising expectations for environmentally responsible packaging.

SFI Certified Board

We use virgin fiber boards from mills certified by the Sustainable Forest Initiative to protect our fragile ecosystem.

Soy Based Inks

High-performance, low VOC inks from environmentally friendly raw materials.

Aqueous Coatings

Our standard aqueous coating is water-based to provide a high gloss or matte surface, protecting the surface from fingerprints, dirt, smudges, and scratching.

FSC Certification®

The Forest Stewardship Council® is dedicated to preserving our forests and has developed a certification to legitimize and highlight sustainable sourcing practices for businesses worldwide. FSC certification assures customers that our company only uses material from well-managed, FSC®-certified forests and other controlled sources. FSC is considered the most rigorous forest certification system and being FSC certified demonstrates that we comply with the market’s highest social and environmental standards.

American Institute of Baking (AIB) Inspected

AIB International is an organization that provides training, inspections, and certifications in food safety, setting the standard for quality and safety. They help companies like ours ensure we’re meeting government regulations and staying up-to-date with best practices. AIB inspections cover five main categories including operational methods and personnel practices, maintenance for food safety, cleaning practices, integrated pest management, and adequacy of food safety programs.

Each AIB inspection of our facilities helps us ensure we’re hitting the mark for training, preventing food hazards, mitigating the possibility of recalls, meeting government compliance, and creating a safe environment for food-based products.

GMI Certified Print Factory

Graphic Measures International (GMI) is a global company that evaluates the packaging quality of printing jobs worldwide. Providing global packaging consistency for major brands like Home Depot, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, and Target, GMI has developed a standardized system based on scientific, repeatable measurements that assess the performance of packaging suppliers based on each aspect of a print job.

Norka became GMI certified in 2017 allowing us to confidently say that new project submissions will exceed expectations.
